Since its founding, more than
350.000 internships have been arranged worldwide in over 85 countries,
including 70.000 in Germany. Over 3000 different companies from all over
the world participate in the IAESTE program. The focus for internships is on
the fields of engineering and natural sciences as well as agriculture and
forestry.
The IAESTE internships are designed to offer foreign university students the opportunity to expand and
deepen the knowledge acquired during their undergraduate studies in application
areas of industry, research, or administration according to the professional requirements
of their later profession.
Your Benefits
Firstly, you will receive an additional employee, whose qualifications and length of stay will be determined by
you. IAESTE nominates only students that have completed their basic studies. These
trainees are therefore advanced in their studies and have fundamental knowledge
that often has been strengthened in previous internships in their own country. An IAESTE Intern with the desired professional knowledge from abroad can inspire your work routine with new ideas. Moreover, the trainee contributes to a creative
and diverse work atmosphere.
Secondly, the employment of a foreign trainee does not cause any additional organizational expenses for you.
IAESTE takes care of all the necessary formalities, including visa issues, work
permits and insurance, as well as accommodation and spare time activities.
On top of it, you will also make it possible for German students to gain international work experience. For
every internship placement offered by you we will in return receive a
corresponding offer for German students from our partners abroad.
Your company will get more noted in the country of
the intern and in the future you will have an experienced contact person in
this country. Furthermore, you can make your contribution to the
international relation and profit from it.
Your Contribution
In the beginning, you only have to appoint the general conditions of the internship. Later in the process, you need to decide if you are willing to take the appointed intern.
During the time of the internship, you will show the intern your work culture and experiences. Since we are an international organization it is a necessity to speak English.
Since the placement service through the German Committee of IAESTE is free of charge for employers, there is only the payment of the internship to cover.
